Executive Team

Chris Hopkins

Managing Director and CEO

Chris is responsible for the overall day to day operation of SCOTT and implementation of strategy and business plans. He is the main point of contact for media and analysts and regularly visits SCOTT's key customers to build relationships and assist the sales and marketing process. Chris also leads SCOTT's search for potential acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances that will help grow SCOTT in the future. Chris is a Director of SCOTT Technology and many of its subsidiary companies.

Richard Jenman

Chief Operating Officer

Richard started with Scott in May this 2018. Richard has broad experience in leading organizations who manufacture and supply solutions for electrical and mechanical engineering, telecommunication and data center power infrastructure, and residential construction.

Kate Logan

Director - Human Resources

Kate is responsible for the human resource function. Her responsibility includes advising and supporting leaders with respect to strategic planning; project implementation; and the introduction and management of best practice HR policies and procedures. Kate is an experienced senior human resource practitioner who has worked in public, private and global organisations for over 25 years.

Barbara Webster

Director - Group R&D Strategy

Barbara joined SCOTT Technology in 2013 and is responsible for business development and innovation at the company. She manages new areas of growth as well as research and development, drawing from years of experience in science management and technology commercialisation. Having entered the industry as a materials scientist, Barbara's background now spans the entire innovation process from end to end. She has consulted for the infrastructure and engineering industries and is an experienced team builder.

Andrew Arnold

Director - Meat Processing

Andrew is responsible for the development and commercialisation of SCOTT's meat processing technology. He has been actively involved in this technology since it started seven years ago and is responsible for developing the patented technology which is recognised as world leading in the field. Andrew has over 30 years' experience in working with automated machinery for SCOTT Technology. Andrew is also a Director of Robotic Technologies Limited and NS Innovations Pty Limited.

Casey Jenkins

Director - Global Marketing

Casey joined the company in 2014 and manages the marketing function for the Scott Group. Responsible for the delivery of the overall marketing and communication strategy for the Scott Group and all subsidiary companies and brands.

Casey has over 12 years’ experience working in marketing roles in both the public and private sector for local and global organizations. 

Steve Russell

Director - Mining

Steve is responsible for SCOTT’s business development and growth in the mining sector, including applications in sample preparation, advanced sensing, automation and certified reference materials.

Steve has an engineering and computer science background and has extensive experience in implementing technology and innovation projects across the mining and metals industries globally.

Ken Snowling

Regional Director Europe

Ken is responsible for the sales and development of appliance automation systems. He is supported by a highly experienced team of sales, engineering and technical support people based in New Zealand, USA, Italy and China. Ken has over 35 years' experience in engineering. He started as an apprentice toolmaker, moving through to mechanical design, industrial engineering, project management, and sales and marketing.

Alan Prince

General Manager – Christchurch

Alan manages the appliance manufacturing division of SCOTT Technology based in Christchurch. A team of approximately 70 staff cover all aspects of the manufacture of bespoke appliance production systems, providing turnkey projects from concept through to production on site. Alan has over 20 years of experience with SCOTT Technology covering roles in design and project management.

Mike Lynn

General Manager – Auckland

Mike has over 30 years’ experience in the mining industry holding positions from production supervisor, engineer to general management. He has held executive roles in mining operations, consulting, contracting as well as high tech start-ups.

Mike has a strong and proven record of innovation in the products delivered as well as the models for delivery. He understands the safety and cost drivers for operators and is committed to ensuring Rocklabs delivers value for customers.

Tony Joyce

Regional Director Americas

Tony has 25 years’ experience with SCOTT Technology and is based in Marion, Ohio, being responsible for market development in the Americas. Prior to this, Tony was part of the Industrial Automation team, working with local industries, universities and government seed-funding bodies developing automated solutions for their businesses, as well as spending two years in China after setting up a sales and service office to support the Asian market.

Troy Krogh

Regional Director - Australia

Troy Krogh, Regional Director at Scott Automation & Robotics has over 29 years’ experience in automation and engineering.  

Early experience with a diverse range of automation applications and exposure to their benefits in many industries throughout Australia sparked a lifelong passion for technology and innovation in Troy: a passion that led to a diverse engineering and management career across industries, including Infrastructure, Timber, Red Meat, Food and Beverage, Metals, and Manufacturing. 

Cathy Zhang

Director - China

Cathy Joined Scott in 2007 and manages the operation of SSQ .Responsible for the sales, manufacturing and service of the sheet metal forming machine within China ,and meanwhile providing the cost-saving parts and assembly for the Group.

Renaud Vanrysselberghe

Director - Service

Renaud was the Services Director for the former Alvey Group which became Scott Europe since April 2018.  Recently, Renaud has been appointed as General Manager Global Service to develop the business of the Service department for the Scott Group at the Global level.

Frederic Hermier

Director - Materials Handling & Logistics

Frederic has been involved in the Alvey business since 1995 in different sales positions. He is now responsible for the business development of Materials Handling & Logistics for the Scott Group globally.
