Executive Team

John Kippenberger

Chief Executive Officer

John is an experienced business leader who has a successful career as CEO of a number of international business-to-business and consumer branded companies.  This has included time in Australia as CEO of several industrial companies of George Weston Foods Limited before leading their large meat & dairy organisation which included 1,200 people operating across seven factories.

After returning to New Zealand in 2006, John was a part-owner and the Chief Executive of Premier Beehive NZ Limited.  More recently, John led the exponential growth and development of Manuka Health NZ Limited.  This included expansion of the company’s agricultural and factory operations, along with an acquisition in Germany and the opening of company operations in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and parts of South East Asia and China.

Chris Steedman

Chief Operating Officer

Chris joined the company in June 2020 and is responsible as the ANZ Regional Director & COO.

Prior to taking on the ANZ Regional Director & COO role, he previously worked for Siemens and Thales in the following functions: Managing Director, COO, Operations Director, Programme Director & Engineering manager, mainly in Europe, South Africa and Australia.

He has an engineering and business management background and has international experience in sales and service of electrical and mechanical technologies.

Kate Rankin

Chief Financial Officer

Kate joined Scott in 2020 and is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities within the Scott group.  Kate has extensive financial and business experience, all with an international focus, gained from working in a number of different industries and locations throughout her career to date. 

Casey Jenkins

Director - Marketing & People

Casey joined the company in 2014 and manages the Marketing and People functions of the Scott Group. Responsible for the delivery of the overall Marketing, Communication and HR strategies for the Scott Group including all subsidiary companies and brands.

While Casey’s previous role as Marketing Director included employee communications and external brand, her role has recently been developed to see a much stronger focus on building a high-performance organisational culture, team values, employee branding and communication, in addition to Casey’s existing Marketing responsibilities.

Prior to joining Scott, Casey held marketing roles in various local and global companies, including Icebreaker.

Tony Joyce

Regional Director - Americas

Tony has 25 years’ experience with SCOTT Technology and is based in Marion, Ohio, being responsible for market development in the Americas. Prior to this, Tony was part of the Industrial Automation team, working with local industries, universities and government seed-funding bodies developing automated solutions for their businesses, as well as spending two years in China after setting up a sales and service office to support the Asian market.

Cathy Zhang

Regional Director - China

Cathy Joined Scott in 2007 and manages the operation of SSQ .Responsible for the sales, manufacturing and service of the sheet metal forming machine within China ,and meanwhile providing the cost-saving parts and assembly for the Group.

Andrew Arnold

Director - Meat Processing

Andrew is responsible for the development and commercialisation of SCOTT's meat processing technology. He has been actively involved in this technology since it started seven years ago and is responsible for developing the patented technology which is recognised as world leading in the field. Andrew has over 30 years' experience in working with automated machinery for SCOTT Technology. Andrew is also a Director of Robotic Technologies Limited and NS Innovations Pty Limited.

Steve Russell

Director - Mining

Steve is responsible for SCOTT’s business development and growth in the mining sector, including applications in sample preparation, advanced sensing, automation and certified reference materials.

Steve has an engineering and computer science background and has extensive experience in implementing technology and innovation projects across the mining and metals industries globally.

Frederic Hermier

Director - Materials Handling & Logistics

Frederic has been involved in the Alvey business since 1995 in different sales positions. He is now responsible for the business development of Materials Handling & Logistics for the Scott Group globally.

Claire Hogue

Group - HR Manager

Claire is an experienced Human Resources Practitioner with a demonstrated history of working across a wide range of different industries. Claire joined the Scott Group in 2017 as HR Advisor and is now the HR Manager for the Group. 

 

Claire is a strong human resources professional with experience in Executive Search, Technical Recruiting, HR Policies, and change management.
