ROCKLABS® was established in 1969, as a commercial laboratory specialising in geochemical analysis and fire assaying. Since 1975 ROCKLABS has been a global innovator in the sample preparation equipment field. We combine New Zealand ingenuity and technical excellence to successfully compete on the world stage. ROCKLABS became a part of SCOTT® in 2008, and has leveraged their engineering expertise, to extend our core range of products and automated systems.

Our early achievements in the mining and exploration industries created a platform for development of equipment designed specifically for commercial and mine site laboratory environments. Whilst still being world leaders in supplying clients in these sectors, we have continued to enhance our core products and adapt them for virtually any endeavour requiring world-leading sample preparation equipment.

We often work on-site with our customers installing systems and training their people. We work very efficiently, minimising disruption to customers operations whilst installing, testing and fine-tuning the equipment.

Mike Lynn

General Manager

Mike has over 30 years’ experience in the mining industry holding positions from production supervisor, engineer to general management. He has held executive roles in mining operations, consulting, contracting as well as high tech start-ups.

Mike has a strong and proven record of innovation in the products delivered as well as the models for delivery. He understands the safety and cost drivers for operators and is committed to ensuring Rocklabs delivers value for customers.

Andrew Mowlem

Engineering Manager

Andrew is responsible for mechanical and controls engineering at ROCKLABS. His team designs and develops automated systems, new products and supports the current product range for the mining industry.

Andrew joined ROCKLABS in 2008 as a design and project engineer, before becoming the Engineering Manager in 2014. He has a strong engineering and project management background, with extensive experience in automation, design, manufacturing and sample preparation equipment.

Adrian Garcia

Director Business Development

Adrian joined SCOTT® Technology in April 2013 as Director Business Development, tasked with providing added-value service to customers and distributors in The Americas.

Adrian's 25-year career in mining services began in the sample prep area with Bondar-Clegg Canada Ltd and he has held various positions in laboratory operations and management. More recently his work has included start up business for Anachemia Science in Santiago with later responsibilities as Sales Manager for South America and Director Business Development for Mexico and South America

Under Adrian's supervision, a new ROCKLABS distribution and service office has been created in Santiago, Chile, to be followed by a similar project in Vancouver, Canada.
